Description
AIP is partnering with leaders from across UW-Madison and the Universities of Wisconsin to prepare our schools, colleges, divisions, and individual employees for the transition to Workday and the Research Administration Management Portal (RAMP).
Workday is a cloud-based software platform that brings together data about people, finances, and operations. Workday will replace current administrative systems such as the Shared Financial System (SFS) and Human Resources System (HRS), as well as hundreds of ancillary systems, to help UW‒Madison manage and streamline human resources (HR), payroll, and financial data in one system.
RAMP is the software used to manage business practices related to research, including proposal development and submission, contracts, non-financial post-award management, employee compensation compliance, financial forecasting, and export controls.
AIP provides project management support, change management leadership, operating model expertise, and thought partnership with the goal of modernizing UW-Madison’s business practices in human resources and finance. Ultimately, these changes will provide a more flexible and innovative administrative environment that supports and advances the academic, research, and public service mission.
